- We scanned for codes and found P0457 Evap system leak detected. We then used the scanner to manually operate the purge valve. We found that when commanding the valve open with the scanner he valve would not open. We then back probed the harness to check cor power and ground and found both where present while commanding the purge valve on. We then manually induced power and ground directly to the purge valve and it still did not open. These tests confirm that the purge valve is faulty. We recommend a purge valve.
- We removed the heater controls and glove box in order to gain access so we can determine which acuator was faulty. We found it was the blend door acuator for the heater and a/c. We removed the rest of the items to gain access to the acuator and replaced the faulty acuator. We then tested the operation and reassembled everything as required.
