We jump started the vehicle to get it pulled inside. We then with the vehicle running checked the alternator output at the battery posts and from the power wire on the alternator to the ground side of the battery. Both matched showing only 11.2 volts indicating the alternator is not charging. We then tested the battery and it came back as a charge and retest. Given the battery is 4 years old it is likely the vehicle will need a new battery. We recommend replacing the alternator and while the repairs are being made we will charge and then retest the battery.
After replacing the alternator we ran a post repair test and everything came out good. The battery tested good with a measured cca of 683 and the battey is rated for 640 cca. The alternator is now charging with a no load voltage of 14.25 V and a loaded voltage of 14.14 V.

Tested battery and failed, also noticed negative terminal loose damaged and positive terminal loose and corroded. Tightened the terminals and vehicle starts. Rec replacing the battery MT 35, both terminals with marine style, a throttle body service. Then retest the charging system. After replacing battery and terminals performed a post charging system test and passed, charging 13.8 volts.
Replace both battery terminals, replace the defective battery and clean all the electrical connections, reassemble and recheck the charging system again.
By removing the throttle body boot to gain access to the throttle body. The with a chemical, cleaning out the throttle body and wiping clean all debris. Then reassemble as required. Perform a computer relearn learn if necessary.

We were able to confirm a cylinder 2 misfire. We first pulled codes and found a P0302 confirming our misfire as well. We visually inspected the area and found that the retaining tabs for the ignition coils were all broken. We disconnected the ignition coil and checked internal resistance and found it to be okay after plugging everything back in, clearing codes and test driving the vehicle we were unable to get it to misfire again. On our test drive we did notice that the engine would over heat and return to normal repeatedly. We started the vehicle up after letting it sit over night and found that it has bad timing rattle as well as lifter noise. We pressure tested the vehicle and found no signs of any leaks at this time. We then block tested the vehicle and found that it failed indicating a head gasket failure. We are recommending a complete engine replacement.

Confirmed noise coming from front area of engine. Removed serpentine belt to ensure it isn't a internal engine noise and started it. Noise goes away with belt removed. Individually spun all pulleys and found water pump to have a lot of play and feels rough to spin. Belt looks okay pump isn't leaking but still requires water pump due to the bearing inside the pump starting to fail.

We tried to verify the customer complaint but found the engine does not crank. We checked for power and ground at the starter and found both are present. We then manually supplied voltage to the starter solenoid and found the starter is internally shorted. These tests confirm that the starter is faulty. We recommend replacing the starter for further diagnosis of the engine ticking noise.
Replaced the starter assembly, vehicle now starts and a loud noise comes from the pulley area, also noticed no engine oil on dipstick and is low on coolant. Engine idle is low and runs rough. Added 2 quarts of blended 5w-30. Started vehicle and used my steathascope and all components driven by the serp belt make noise, the loudest is the water pump. Removed belt and noise goes away, use a mirror to inspect the bottom of the water pump and has very heavy tracing, water pump has been leaking for a while. Rec throttle body service and water pump, t stat and rad cap replacement to start. Vehicle will need attention in other areas.
Perform a throttle body service because the throttle body is dirty.
