- Service air conditioner. Check condition of all belts and lines. Evacuate and recharge with reclaimed R-134. Test system performance. Note center vent temp Max Cool/High___55°______ Connect gauge set and advise of High and Low pressures @ 1500 Rpm. Ambient____105°_________High___200psi________Low____50psi______ Inspect Belts, hoses, fan clutch, and electric fans if equipped and advise of recommendations.
- We have checked the cooling system and found a different type of coolant in the cooling system. We recommend Dex Cool coolant. We recommend a drain and fill of the cooling system. We also recommend replacing the thermostat/housing while we have the cooling system open. We also have diagnosed that the cooling fan is not operating as design. The fan clutch is free spinning and not locking into engagement to pull cool air through the radiator. We are also going to recommend replacing the serpentine belts because of cracking and replace the both serpentine belt tensioners as well as the idler pulley. These repairs should get the cooling system back in order.
- COOLING SYSTEM – Drain and fill cooling system as required.
- Replace both serpentine belt tensioner's and idler. Replace both serpentine belts.
- THERMOSTAT – Remove & Replace
- FAN CLUTCH – Remove & Replace
