We scanned for codes and found no codes present. We then test drove the vehicle and monitored fuel rail pressure data. We found that the desired fuel rail pressure matches the actual fuel rail pressure indicating no fuel related concerns. We also monitored boost pressure and found that the boost pressure is low. We opened the hood and found an exhaust leak between the exhaust manifold and the cylinder head, and missing exhaust manifold bolt. An exhaust leak before the turbo will cause a low boost condition. We recommend replacing the exhaust manifold gaskets, and replace the missing exhaust manifold bolt. We will then need to re-test.

We started the vehicle and brought the engine up to operating temperature with the air-conditioning on and commanded the cooling fan high speed relay on with our scan tool and found that the engine cooling fan would speed up momentarily but then slow back down. We then checked voltage going Into the cooling fan control module from the high speed relay and found that it was erratic. We replaced the high speed cooling fan relay and found that now the cooling fan operates according to spec. We then test drove the vehicle and noticed that under a light acceleration at 30 mph and above the vehicle has a shudder that felt like an engine misfire. We monitored misfire data and found no misfires present or any misfire history. We then monitored transmission data and found that the desired torque converter slippage versus the actual torque converter slippage does not match. The converter clutch slippage oscillates from 0 to 90 rpm never holding the commanded 25 rpm slippage. Based on these findings it confirms that the torque converter clutch has failed, and based on the mileage we recommend rebuilding the transmission.

We first scanned for codes and found P0128 thermostat rationally. We then started the vehicle and monitored coolant temperature and found that in the driveway without the A/C on the engine would reach normal operating temperature, and the fans cycled according to specification. We then switched the A/C on and found that the engine coolant temperature would drop below specification. We then took the vehicle on a test drive and found that with the A/C off the coolant temperature would rise at a stop light, but when driving would drop below specification. Based on these findings it confirms that the thermostat is faulty. We recommend replacing the thermostat, and thermostat housing. Then test driving again after repairs.

We removed the inner panel one the drivers slide door and disassemblied all the linkage to final gain access to the faulty door acuator motor. We removed the acuator and verified that the door lock acuator was faulty. We reinstalled a new acuator and reassembled as required.

We inspected the pulley system and found that the water is in fact seized causing the belt to shred. We spun all the other accessory drive pulleys and found that the tensioner and the idler pulley are worn out as well. All other dive pulleys are ok at this time. We recommend replacing the water pump and gasket, thermostat and gasket, coolant, serpentine belt tensioner, idler pulley, and serpentine belt.
