We first scanned for codes and found P0128 thermostat rationally. We then started the vehicle and monitored coolant temperature and found that in the driveway without the A/C on the engine would reach normal operating temperature, and the fans cycled according to specification. We then switched the A/C on and found that the engine coolant temperature would drop below specification. We then took the vehicle on a test drive and found that with the A/C off the coolant temperature would rise at a stop light, but when driving would drop below specification. Based on these findings it confirms that the thermostat is faulty. We recommend replacing the thermostat, and thermostat housing. Then test driving again after repairs.

We removed the inner panel one the drivers slide door and disassemblied all the linkage to final gain access to the faulty door acuator motor. We removed the acuator and verified that the door lock acuator was faulty. We reinstalled a new acuator and reassembled as required.

We inspected the pulley system and found that the water is in fact seized causing the belt to shred. We spun all the other accessory drive pulleys and found that the tensioner and the idler pulley are worn out as well. All other dive pulleys are ok at this time. We recommend replacing the water pump and gasket, thermostat and gasket, coolant, serpentine belt tensioner, idler pulley, and serpentine belt.
