    • We scanned the computer and have the following codes; P1004-Short Runner Valve Control Performance. We test both short and long runner valves and seemed to be working. We then noticed inside the upper plenum the valve solenoid moves and is sticky. We have determined that the upper intake unit should be replaced because the valves wore out causing plastic intake to wear out. We recommend a new upper intake assembly. We cannot get a new upper intake manifold from the dealer because they no longer make one. We did find a (Used) unit and we are having it shipped to us. After installing the used upper intake we drove the vehicle and madr sure the valves are opening and closing which they are. There are no code present at this time and only the 02 heater, 02 sensor, and the EVAP monitor have not run yet. These codes should clear with more miles driven on the vehicle.

    • Service air conditioner. Check condition of all belts and lines. Evacuate and recharge with reclaimed R-134. Test system performance. Note center vent temp Max Cool/High__55____ Connect gauge set and advise of High and Low pressures @ 1500 Rpm. Ambient___80____High___220___Low__35____ Inspect Belts, hoses, fan clutch, and electric fans if equipped and advise of recommendations. We found the A/C will not go into recirculate mode. Vehicle may have a control issue or stuck mode door. Further diagnosis for this problem will be required.
